Cerulean Blue

There are many colors in the shadows of this painting.
Though you are looking up at a pine tree, the light and leaves from surrounding trees create a flatness which adds a sense of abstraction to this painting.
I wanted to capture a sense of the monumental with the trees that tower above me and the awe they inspire by their beauty.
