Looking Up

This painting is looking up at trees in the morning at sunrise. The sun is coming up to the right and hitting the tops of the trees first before enveloping them for another day. I live surrounded by trees and see them in every weather and in every variation of light.
This perspective reminds me of my childhood and lying on my back looking up at the tops of pines and cedars in Lake Tahoe.

This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges painted to match the front of the painting. The work is varnished and ready to hang. All materials are high quality and archival.
