Between Two Pines

This painting is of the trees and their shadow together. I imagined the colors before I began the painting – I wanted to capture the feeling of coming into the light from a dark forest, like passing through a curtain. There is a feeling of reverence as the colors and brushstrokes create a somewhat stained glass effect.

This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges painted to match the front of the painting. The work is varnished and ready to hang. All materials are high quality and archival.
