Gossamer

This oil painting depicts a evening grosbeak in blended colors of gold, green, blue, brown with red and white highlights.

This painting took a long time to get right; it was a break through painting in that I went from painting birds in a static, traditional, field guide sense to a more fluid, dynamic style.
