Feel Good Lost

This wax/encaustic/ceramic work is composed of white, rust, browns, and ochre. The white bird is ceramic and was attached to the board before the wax pigments were applied. The painting has an ethereal lone meditative quality which is the origin of its title.
The bird is made in ceramic clay and mounted on the board before the encaustic wax was applied. This gives a 3 dimensional quality to the artwork and the bird acts as a type of sun dial as the environmental light in the room changes.
