Description of Sated Cedar 2017

This oil painting was done with palette knives and in plein air over many days. I noticed the trees after a series of storms, and many years of drought, their relief to be sated with water. Their branches were lifting up instead of straight out or low, in the shape of smiles. I couldn’t help but to be next to this tree for many days!
This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges painted to match the front of the painting. The work is varnished and ready to hang. All materials are high quality and archival.
