New Beginning

This crescent moon oil painting is part of a series that I am working on with the moon as my subject. It has gone through many iterations. The many under-paintings give it depth and form. Thin layers of white have lifted colors from underneath while creating an overall veil.
This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges painted to match the front of the painting. The work is varnished and ready to hang. All materials are high quality and archival.
